| Refresh UK was formed in 2000, to develop speciality premium long drinks for discerning UK consumers. The company was originally born from a management buy-out of Ushers of Trowbridge.
In 2002 Refresh completed a number of acquisitions and new partnership agreements, acquiring Wychwood Brewery in Witney, gaining the rights to brew Brakspear beers and becoming the UK agents for Wadworth 6X in the off trade.
In 2003 Refresh announced a major redevelopment of the Witney site, more than doubling the capacity of the brewery and creating a new home for Brakspear beers in Oxfordshire.
Two new brand groups were added to the portfolio in 2003, with the addition of new off trade agency arrangements with Innis and Gunn and Duchy Originals.
In early 2004 Refresh relocated its head office to Witney, and in June of that year the redeveloped brewery was opened. |
