Oxfordshire’s Wychwood Brewery has announced its Seasonal Cask Ale for April: ‘Oberon’ at 4.0% abv continues Wychwood’s Shakespearian theme, and is a light ruby-coloured brew with a full-bodied flavour.

Crystal Malt with Fuggles and Goldings hops give the beer a complex fruit-cake flavour, with a citrus, hoppy aftertaste which lingers in the mouth.

Jeremy Moss, Head Brewer at Wychwood comments:

“ Shakespeare was never too explicit as to exactly which flower Oberon gave his wife Titania to make her fall in love. I suspect that it was a hop flower and I hope that our hop-infused Oberon will have exactly the same amorous potential.”
