spice up Christmas with Bah Humbug

Wychwood Brewery are pleased to announce that Bah Humbug, their popular Christmas Ale, will be back on the shelves this Winter exclusively at Sainsbury’s.

Bah Humbug was brewed for the first time in 2003 and is a 6% abv winter-time brew to which Wychwood’s head brewer has added a generous sprinkling of cinnamon. The effect of the cinnamon is to give a spicy, almost banana-like taste to the brew, as often found in German wheat beers; and this blends with the sweet-honeyed flavours of the Maris Otter barley to create a beer with all the magic of mince pies, Christmas Pudding and Christmas cake all rolled into one.

Wychwood's head brewer, Jeremy Moss, comments:

"Bah Humbug was extremely successful last year when we brewed it for the first time, so we’re delighted that Sainsbury’s will be featuring it again this year. It’s so good that, as its name suggests, we’re extremely reluctant to share it!”

Sainsbury’s will be stocking the beer exclusively at £1.69 per 500ml bottle.
