Brakspear

Brakspear Seasonal Ale programme 2005

Brakspear’s Fire Dog warms the cockles of your hearth.

Fire Dog (noun) n. each of a pair of decorative metal supports for wood-burning in a fireplace.

Brakspear have announced that their seasonal ale for November will be Fire Dog 4.4%abv, a popular brew that had drinkers burning for more last winter.

Jeremy Moss, Brakspear’s Head Brewer, blends amber and crystal malts with Goldings hops to create a marmaladey bitterness with a dry biscuity finish.

Jeremy comments: “Fire Dog is a warming malty brew at 4.4% abv. The fruity richness of the Goldings hops complement the blend of malts beautifully. The ruby-red colour reflects the glowing embers of the logs as the firedogs guard the hearth.”
