Wychwood Forest
on its way to the GBBF
Wychwood brewery will be creating their own interpretation of the Wychwood Forest for their first ever stand at the Great British Beer Festival (GBBF) in Olympia, London, from 2nd - 6th August 2005.
The Wychwood brewery was re-organised and expanded in June 2003 to provide a new home for Oxfordshire’s Brakspear beers, and a more streamlined brewery for Wychwood’s nationally distributed Hobgoblin ale, one of Britain’s top five bottled ales.
At the Festival, Wychwood will be showcasing five different cask ales including Hobgoblin, Wychwood Battle Axe, Brakspear Bitter, Brakspear Special and Brakspear Downpour on a stand that represents the impressive yet eerie antiquity of the Wychwood forest.
The brewery’s bottle conditioned Duchy Originals Organic Summer Ale (4.7%) and Brakspear Triple (7.3%) will both be available on the bottled beer bar.
The Great British Beer festival celebrates beers from around the UK and from around the world. It is Britain's biggest beer festival and attracts around 45,000 beer drinkers.
Wychwood will also be exhibiting and selling their wonderful ales at the BBC Good Food show at the NEC in Birmingham on 23rd-27th November.
